How to use Layer Mask to merge two images
|
We’ll be making a Space Sea Gull with Photoshop’s Layer Mask function.
Here are the source files. Starfield.jpg - From the first tutorial Seagull.jpg - Photo from Vanimage.com 1. Open Seagull.jpg 2. Open Starfield.jpg and Press [Control + A] to select everything. 3. Press [Control + C] to copy and close the Starfield.jpg window. 4. Go to Seagull.jpg window and Create a New Layer. 5. Make sure you’re on the new layer, and Press [Control + V] to Paste the Starfield image to the new layer. 6. Create a new Layer Mask. 7. Select Gradient Tool. Make sure the Gradient option is set to Radial and [Foreground to Transparent]. 7. While pressing Shift, click and drag from the middle and let go. You’ll see the effect right away. More you drag, bigger the picture will be. =) It’s done. Now we have a space sea gull. If you have any questions, send me an email at techalien.com@gmail.com. |
